When we talk on the phone
and it just feels right
when you're the last thought
I seem to think at night

When by the flash of your smile
I'm simply uplifted
When just by knowing you
my life is gifted

When I long to hear your laughter
over the long-distance line
When it is you and only you
for whom I pine

When you awake my imagination
and stimulate my mind
When all the other women
I choose to leave behind

When I feel like I know you
although we've barely just met
When you haunt my emotions
and I have no regret

When I find myself feeling
a little confused... a little blue
When I'm left here alone
crushing on you
